From wreath-making to sweetie trees, the Bourne Water dragons showcased creativity and holiday cheer in Christmas crafting workshops.

We are very lucky to have our own qualified flower arranger in our team of Bourne Water Dragons. We are even luckier that once a year, around Christmas time, we are all invited—with partners—to attend a workshop making Christmas wreaths, sweetie trees, flower arrangements, etc.

Last Christmas was no exception, and the workshops were so popular that other dates were offered. The venue was decorated to the highest standard, giving a truly festive feel, and the smell of mulled wine mingled to enhance our Christmas spirit.

The wreath-making, led by our wonderful host Christine, proved exceptional, with all of them looking highly professional. Her talent for tactfully adjusting an amateur attempt at wreath-making is second to none, and her eye for detail ensures a little adjustment here and there leads to stunning wreaths enviable by all.

Making the sweetie trees took a bit of patience, as each sweet was carefully glued in place. However, the finished result, complete with a bow or two, was stunning. Luckily, there weren’t too many children around to make a few sweets disappear!

We can’t wait for the next Christmas workshop.
